The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

I love, love, love Halloween. I like to dress up. As a child my Mom would always make us home made costumes. We would always win at the school Halloween parade. This year I decided to go as a Witch(my true self some would say). Taysen had to be some thing scary, Braxtin wore the costume Mat once wore. Tristan of course a Army Man, notice the gun!!! Saeby, Mini Me!

Spring Vacation 09

So this year was so fun! We just packed up the truck and 4-wheelers and head down south. I booked a room at an Holiday Inn and thought it was in St. George and it turned out to be in Washington (UTAH). Which end up being a good thing, we found a SWEET place to hang while we were down there. It's called Sand Hallow, it had Dunes, Camp sites, Boating and a beach. So we stayed out on the sand almost all day. The kids liked it more than they did riding, Braxtin was so cute he said, "I'm so glad we came to the ocean!" He really wanted to go to the ocean again like we did last time, but we stayed in Utah to find our own Private Beach!

Spring Vacation 09 cont.

Okay I know we went to the "BEACH" and we also drove through Zion's National Park too. It is so beautiful, the kids loved to see all the amazing rocks. Oh and a little tip for all ya'll if you want to drive through there, don't pull a trailer that is more than 11.5 feet wide. Cause you'll get charged an additional $15 on top of the $25 to get into the park. So with that we stopped and looked at everything to get our money's worth. We went through the tunnel taking up both lanes, it was neat cause we had the drive all to ourselves.

1 Year Older

Okay, seriously who sped up the clock. I know I don't have a 10 year old. I mean come on!!!! Taysen just turned 10 on March 2nd. He is becoming a young guy/man/dude. I can't believe how fast he has grown, who would of ever thought that when he was born he'd become a Big Brother of 3. Taysen is a very Smart, Tender, Shy, Builder of Legos'. He is seriously talented when it comes to constructing things (and destructing : ) He can take any Lego set and slam it together very quickly then turn around and take that same set and make a totally different design using the same parts. He better become an Architect cause, " Mama needs a new pair of shoes". We love Tayto so much and know his Brothers and Sissy love him too. Here's to you our Mr. Man.

Christmas 2008

Christmas comes and Christmas goes, SO FAST...... It's like we can't wait for it to be here and then it takes two seconds for it to be over. 4 Little Monkeys sittin' by a tree.. The kids had a WONDERFUL Christmas....

I'm a BIG GIRL NOW! (well almost)

My little girl is growing up so fast. I can't believe she already turned 1. Where does the time go? I was so happy to be able to dress her up in her cute PINK party dress. Here are some cute pictures of her party

Santa Claus

The ward Christmas party had a special guest. Take a Guess??? Santa Claus was there all the kids lined up to the stage to sit on his lap. It reminded me of the show Christmas Story the line went on and on and on. Tristan ran up and was in line first, then Braxtin came later. Finally he got to sit on his lap, we then wait for another 1/2 just for Braxtin to sit on his lap, which we then put Sissy up there too. Taysen was too cool to sit on his lap. Here are some pics to enjoy, hopefully they will be clear, took them with my cellphone.

Braxtin was a little stand-off-ish, but he told him what he wanted and well as you can see Saebryn didn't think to much of him, typical baby.

Gettin' Bigger

Kids grow like weeds. Saebryn and Tristan got their pictures taken right before Halloween and they both were so good, Saebryn even had shots before her pictures too! Taysen and Braxtin had school pictures too!

Dirt, Smoke and Kids

So we have been wanting to go out to the "Desert" to ride the 4-wheelers. We loaded up and head out south. The kids and Dev and I had a really good time, even the baby was so good. We drove all over on trails and hills, Braxtin liked to do doughnuts, Taysen loves to explore and well Tristy he can't drive yet (thank goodness) and then there's DEVIN...... He makes me worried, he's a true hot roder. Still a kid at heart. We made a fire and ate "HOT DOGS". I want everyone in the family to go out there, it's a blast to just explore the trails and let the kids play in the dirt.

Taysen is so good to help out.

The kids love a fire, it doesn't matter where we are if we have a fire they get so excited and play in it, can you say Piro's?

I am Megara!
Charming and witty. You are always the first person to come up with a wisecrack. Sure, you have an attitude, but that's why people love you. You keep them on their toes. Sometimes you can be misleading, but always end up doing the right thing for the people you love.

So If I'm Megara does that mean Devin is Hercules? I'm not sure cause I could argue that he is more like Gaston. I think the best mix of both!

School's Back

Can you hear the school bus coming down the hill? I loved when school would start, NO not the going to school part but the buying of new clothes, shoes. Ya Clothes and Shoes, that was my favorite part and to this day I still loving buying school clothes even though they aren't for me. I love putting outfits together, the rush of sales and choosing the first day back to school outfit.


It is amazing how fast time goes by when your older, I think back at all the years I walked down to the bus stop in the SUN, COLD, RAIN and SNOW. Where did that time go? Now I have two, count them two boys in school. Taysen 4th grade (which still blows my mind), Braxtin 2nd grade (which is even stranger), how did they get big so fast. WHY? Tristan and Saebryn are growing up fast too. Tristan is almost 4 and I don't get that one, Saebryn just turned 8 months. I know they have to grow, I know they will all eventually go to school(which isn't so sad- all day school-right MOM). But I just get sad when they grow up so quickly. I still remember when Taysen started school I was so nervous for him, being away from Mom, Dad, Grandma all day. Would he be able to handle it, would he find his way to the right bus. Oh the stress we cause ourselves as Mothers, it's with every child not just your first. The same emotions every year, will they like their teacher, will they do good in READING, MATH, whatever it will be. They always come home fine and tell you how the day went with excitement. We started with a family tradition with Taysen when he started school, the night before school starts Devin gives them a Father's Blessing to help easy their nerves and calm them. It has been a blessing and I truly feel that their day goes better because of it.

I can't wait to see the trends that my kids will have in school. No cabbage patches, No big HAIR you know the bangs that go from one side of you head to the other, PERMS, two different colored socks scrunched down, REEBOK pump air shoes, GUABUI's, Like GUESS jeans will ever be as hot as they once where, even better I think I went through some weird phase in High School of Plain Tee shirts and Vans, Must of been a Grunge thing.

Pioneer Day's

Lagoon

Every year American Express give their employees free admission to Lagoon. It's like a Company Lagoon day, we all went this year and we were able to get bounce back tickets to use. Mom, Leah, Braxtin, Tristan and I all went for the bounce back. It was hot, but we had a lot of fun. I was really really surprised at how many rides Braxtin wanted to go on, he wasn't scared of hardly anything. Tristy just loved the bumper cars..(surprised). Thanks Aunt Leah Ann for taking the boys on some rides that I couldn't (freaking open toed shoe's).

Two Babies

So my cousin Melissa also had a baby girl in December. Melissa and I are 20 days apart in our own birthdays, we were both born in April, 6th and 26th. I'm older..... Saebryn and Solstice are also both born in the same month, December 18th and 20th, Saebryn is older..... WEIRD. Someone said when we took this picture, "Now which one of them is going to put the other in the dryer for a ride". You may or may not know, when Melissa and I were little we played at Grandma & Grandpa Pettley's house. We loved to stand on the side of the house and scare Grandpa as he came walking around the corner. One day "WE" not just me decided that it would be cool to try to ride in the dryer, now now I know it sounds bad, but I put some pillows in there to soften the ride and in went Melissa. I turned it on and stood there. Obiously Melissa is fine, it will be a memory that none of us will ever forget, especially Grandma.

Face Plant

So Tristan is a wild man, he loves bikes, cars almost anything he can ride on. He was at Grandma Johnson's house and was riding down the drive way and fell on his face. He's got some major drive way burn. Bless his little heart.

Princess'

I know Grandma just loves her picture to be taken, but what she don't know won't hurt her. I was watching her just talking to family and she seemed to be enjoying the time there, so i snapped this pic, I just love the expression on her face "So Happy"
